Since 2016, Cosecha has been mobilizing thousands of undocumented immigrants and allies to take a stand against the deportation machine. We are fighting for a permanent solution that gives respect and dignity to all 11 million undocumented immigrants. This includes those who pick our food, the DACA recipients, those who never went to college, the construction workers, the parents.
In 2016, we mobilized nearly 100 student walkouts in response to Trump election and the impending attacks on DACA. From that moment, communities were able to use their power and that led to national-wide strikes on May 1st, “A Day Without Immigrants.” Since then, thousands have taken action against the ways that ICE shows up in our community.
