We, the migrant community in this country, step into stores everyday all over America. We choose. We buy. We consume. Our spending benefits businesses and those that buy around us. It subsidizes and cheapens the cost of goods. But what does it mean when we, the immigrants in this country, are taken advantage of? When businesses take us for granted and profit from us? It means that we must not cooperate.
We are going to use the power of our purchases, our consumer power, and boycott one business at a time until it is impossible for people in this country to buy things without thinking about the migrant community. Because to win dignity, respect, and permanent protection for immigrants this country, this country has to understand its dependence on our consumer power.
